Sophie Lancaster, 20, and Robert Maltby, 21, were kicked in the face and head so viciously cops couldnt tell if they were male or female.Both fell into comas after the assault in the early hours of Saturday August 11. Sophie never came round and died yesterday. Art student Robert, who suffered bleeding on the brain, was well enough to be allowed out of the hospital where he is being treated to visit her on Wednesday. Their families said Sophie and Robert had faced trouble before because they were Goths who dressed in black. Both had dyed hair and facial piercings.They were set upon as they walked through Stubbylee Park in their home town of Bacup, Lancs.Cops said the unsuspecting couple suffered multiple head and face injuries in the attack, and were rushed to Rochdale Infirmary.
