The quick answer to that is the police have many rigts with probable cause. Probable cause can be established in many ways. Essentially, if the officer has a hint something is wrong, generally speaking, they have a right to search. The hint can be argued as the cause needed for a search. This question however, is more properly addressed in a subsequent video.

Can the police officer ask you to step out of your car and search you without cause? What are our rights? |
