yeah i agree with pro94. you could definitely shift a little harder. just try not to do too much of what i did to my 4banger ranger lol. watch my video. it left several great black marks, especially for a 4 cylinder, but now im in the process of replacing the transmission. not fun anymore!

check your fuel filter. I bought mine with 85k miles on it and drove it awile it was quick but I thought it had more in it. so i changed the fuel filter and when I pulled the line off comming from the tank the shit comming out was black. I put a new filter on it and when I cranked the truck up it revved up and hit the rev limmiter. it was a totally different truck then. I felt like going from a 3.0 to a 4.0. amazing difference. cant say it will do the same for you but its worth a try.

I meant to say shift knob, not shit knob

Ya man I recently changed out the oil and the airfilter, power foamed it too. Its got a lot more go to it now. New spark plugs would probably help too.

Wow you did a 5.0 swap. Thats badass. One time i did snatch the hell out of the shifter and i pulled off the shit knob. I was lmfao

Come on man. you aint gonna break it. I had a 94' 4.0 5spd. just kick that clutch and snatch hell out of the shifter. It wont break. I shifted mine like that for years. before I did a 5.0 swap.

Get a good tune up and you can improve it a lil bit. Mine works nice w/ a tuneup |
