I wasn't really thinking in the terms of the sniper role, just the standard infantryman role, but what you're saying makes sense.

The fixed scope is only good for 300 meters you need more range so you attach the magnified scope.

Why is there another scope on top of that thing? The carrying handle is a scope! It doesn't make any sense!
