:DMy Blochs died on me and they've been turned into rehearsal demipoints (through merciless stripping of the inner layer muahaha) and so I decided to get a new pair.These are Gaynor Mindens and they're relatively new although I've been using them for awhile now.And yes, the whole controversial pre-arched synthetic material issue with Gaynors-I personally find GMs good for intermediate/advanced dancers because they're durable, have customizable shanks and are perfect for performance too. So no need to get two separate rehearsal/performance pairs! GMs last and look pretty both in studio and on stage, which makes it a good choice.However, I do highly discourage the use of GMs for beginner dancers on pointe because for its pre-arched reasons. You need to learn the basics of finding your own arch first instead of relying on a synthetically created arch to cheat your way through exercises.But still, I think it's worth the investment(: It's a medium shanked one btw.

Yes but still, what about when you get them you feel they're not right for you?They'll feel completely different to a standard shoe..but whatever if you have the money to waste..

Ah I see. Well, usually I'd recommend a fitting too because you need to try out how the different-stregthed shanks feel- but I guess if you do your research really thoroughly and as you seem to have considered all the options then I guess it's okay. Anyway I hope you like them because I really do!(: They make your feet look really beautiful and they're perfect for performance too.Are you going on to Advanced 2 pointework?

i didnt just pick whatever, i filled out foot tracing sheets and told them all my specifics and preferences and a fitter emailed me a recommended size.
