Umm why do they have to make it all crazy looking with a $40,000 price tag. Can they please make a good electric car that is very basic for the average person that cost around $15,000

It also proved to not be viable.

Years away from production is technically true but the phrase implies more than two. Maybe you should update your info section.

The Volt and the fuel cell are the same they both don't work, this is a total scam from GM, are trying to hold on to the enternal combustion engine so that they can keep selling part to cars, instead of sell all electric cars. I hope GM fold for being stupid, and for putting this country in danger by trying to keep us on oil!

The people who are most concerned about gas prices won't be able to afford this :\
billisnice (July 17, 2008 at 4:36 am)
I suggest you put Solar Cells on top to generate extra electricity.

That's pretty sad the EV1 did 60 miles when it first came out then 120 when GM decided to release it with the better battery which might I add was available from the start.Watch "Who killed the electric car"
