A faux installment of ABC's Saturday morning One to One PSAs, which is actually quite deceptive, and turns out to be more suitable under a less lighthearted heading. Viewers think they're getting a usual funny lesson in self-esteem, self-respect or compromise, but instead are lured into a heavy message about how illiteracy could mean the difference between life and death. The characters and scenes are taken from the 4th season Punky Brewster episode "The Reading Game". (Yes, the only broadcast network that Punky ever aired on was NBC, but by the time of this episode, it had already moved into first-run syndication and was no longer associated with the peacock.)Learn to read, and that's an order!
