Confused by vehicle nomenclature? Sort things out with this brief explanation using Chevrolet Chevelle SS (Super Sport) as our example:

The make is the name of the auto manufacturer or brand of vehicle: Chevrolet

Model...
The model is the name of the vehicle: Chevelle

Trim...
The trim is the level or version of a particular model. In this case, SS or Super Sport. Each trim has a base retail price. Trims typically feature different levels of equipment, different body styles or different drive trains.
